The Cabin

My family went up to the cabin this weekend. We wondered around and my padre even showed my sister and I how to shoot! It had been years since I visited and it was nice to see the place again!

Breakfast at the Zoo

So my friend Katie won a contest through the Minnesota Zoo. She got to turn on the dinosaurs in the new Dino exhibit and have breakfast with her favorite. I got to go along. We ate breakfast under the most bird like dino before wondering around taking ridiculous photos and enjoying the rest of the zoo. It was a great way to spend part of my weekend :)

Memorial Day Gathering

The Mattmiller side of the family got together for a cookout this weekend. Its been awhile since I have seen the entire crew so it was nice to spend some time with folks. I scored some decorating stuff for my apartment from my Grandpa which is awesome! Pretty excited to figure out how to use some old suitcases :)

We also braved the basement and found some interesting items. Including a bazillion trucker hats and beer that is 20+ years old! So we modeled some of our findings. What a fun day!

Perrot State Park - Take 2

Last time I ventured to this park, the trails were so iced over I couldn't get very far. This time the weather was amazing and the wild flowers were starting to bloom. I hiked my butt up the bluff (even though I thought for sure I was going to get bitten by a rattlesnake) and was treated to some fantastic views.

Rib Mountain State Park

On my last time home to Wausau, I had some time to go up to Rib Mountain. This happens to be one of the highest points in the state - 1940 feet.  Its changed a little over the years but I was able to climb the tower and some of the rocks just like I did when I was younger.

International Crane Foundation

A couple weeks ago, I went back to where my career got started. The International Crane Foundation in Baraboo, WI. It was great to all the new exhibit work - I love it! I could have spent all day wondering around and staring at the beautiful birds!

Cities Time!

With the unexpected cancellation of my Denver trip this weekend, I had time on my hands. Ended up going up to the cities to hangout with a friend and enjoying the nice weather. We walked around Lake Calhoun, ate our burgers on a restaurants patio and got frozen yogurt! Pretty much a perfect day :)
