Let it Snow!

Morning after the first snow

Well, winter has arrived here in the river valley. We got so much snow that I got out of work early today. The Impreza did great in the white stuff - SOOOO glad that I switched cars this fall.

Snow

Well, its that time of year. We finally got snow...and a lot of it. So far about 5 inches has fallen and it may not be done. Snow does make animal care a little extra challenging and shoveling is not my favorite but at least it looks pretty out!

Now off to dig out my winter clothes from storage :(

Let It Snow!

I went for my first cross country ski of the season on Sunday. It was a bit rough, in part because I was skiing without trails. Anyways, I went down one of my favorite routes and was on the lookout for critters the whole time. Sadly I didn't see any owls or porkies but it was still nice to get out and about.

As a bonus, it has been snowing here quite a bit the past few days. The bummer is having to shovel all the birdies out. Oh well, at least everything looks pretty for a bit!

First Snow

On Saturday, we had our first snowfall of the year! It was the really heavy stuff and it quickly stuck to pretty much everything - here are a few pictures!
